I work best under pressure and there’s no better time of year to highlight that than the holiday season. 🙂 Without a fire beneath me, I find it very challenging to get just about anything done.
With all the shopping to do, gifts to wrap and holiday festivities that we waited until the last minute to do, there hasn’t been much time to spend on blogging lately.
But I did manage a little side trip to the beach when a friend asked us to tag along.
Just a quick trip and everything else I had to do that day could wait, right? It’s hard to pass up when it’s sunshiny and 65 degrees out.
We did get to witness a little of the usual chill and fog, but it burned off by the time we were done with lunch.
Among the things we’ve been enjoying lately are baby snuggles and Christmas lights,
our annual drive (at a super slow crawl) through the Fantasy of Lights display at Vasona Park in Los Gatos with kids popping out of sunroofs and windows,
and staying up past bedtime for gelato.
Except for the couple of gifts I’m waiting on that arrive tomorrow (heh), everything is wrapped and now we can just relax and settle in to Christmas.
I’m excited like a kid again, eager for Christmas morning to see my kids’ faces light up when they see the gifts from Santa under the tree. It’s fun to have them both at a good age for the Christmas excitement this year.
Wishing you a beautiful next couple of days filled with peace, joy and excitement as we celebrate the birth of Jesus with our loved ones.
