Happy Sunday night, friends! I hope this post finds you well, enjoying the last couple hours of your *hopefully* relaxing weekend (West Coast time at least).
We had a nice, relaxing weekend that involved a walk to the farmers market, new books, coffee on the front porch and a second Mother’s Day celebration with my in laws.
I’m happy to report that I got in bits of extra activity this week, much like I used to before home renovation craziness. I fit in a cardio session in addition to my Tabata class, which felt good even if I was concerned the whole time about Emme needing to use the potty in the kid club (side note: potty training is definitely not my favorite thing). On Saturday, I could have driven to the farmers market, but instead chose to walk the 2-miles total there and back while pushing the kids in the BOB.
Once there we enjoyed a plate of falafels, dolmas and tabouleh and picked up some free books teachers were giving away.
Emme and I enjoyed the books during front porch coffee date while Doug and Reece played checkers.
I almost squeezed in a bike ride/jog with the kids on Sunday morning, but we took awhile getting outside house and then when we did, they saw their friends outside, so we just stayed home so they could play out front with their friends.
Here’s what my week of workouts looked like:
Monday: Cardio + Strength/Flexibility – Tabata (4 rounds) + Pilates
Tuesday: Strength/Flexibility – Teach Pilates
Wednesday: Strength/Flexibility – Teach Pilates
Thursday: Strength/Flexibility – Teach Pilates
Friday: Cardio + Strength/Flexibility – Teach Pilates + AMT 20 min
Saturday: Active Rest – Walk 2 miles
I’m happy I was able to squeeze in a bit more than I have been lately. The walk to the farmers market reminded me how I used to do things like that so frequently to get in my workouts and I think I’ll have to pick it up again.
How were your workouts this week?
Do you have a farmers market you like to go to?
