Your Guide to Clean Eating Weekly Food Prep Via Calio

You’ve made the decision to begin a healthier lifestyle and one of the first things you do is head to the grocery store and fill your cart with healthy foods, including loads of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats. You have a fridge full of healthy options and you’re full of good intentions, but then life creates some stumbling blocks. Too busy after your child’s soccer practice or too tired after a long day at work, and you end up getting takeout or heating up hot dogs for dinner – leaving much of that healthy food unused.

Making a list before hitting the grocery store is a great start, but after doing the shopping you’re still left with the task of cooking  – which can be difficult on those busy weeknights. So what are we to do?

  • I need more meal planning in my life too!! The frustrating part for me is figuring out what I’ll want to eat a few days later and also estimating the time it will take me to prep- I’m terrible at that!

    • It’s been so nice having pre-prepped food this week! That’s why I didn’t do meal planning–having these things prepped, I could put together a variety of things. The taco meat is especially helpful! I love topping a sweet potato with that, a sprinkle of cheese and some salsa.

  • Good stuff, Laura! We love sweet potatoes over here. It was one of my kids’ first foods, and they’re so yummy, especially roasted.
